Overview:
Form
W-4 looks routine because payroll teams handle it constantly. But in practice,
it is one of those forms that creates confusion the moment an employee does not
understand what they selected, a new hire leaves something incomplete, or a
paycheck looks different than expected.
That
pressure is greater in 2026. With OBBBA-related tax changes, updated
withholding expectations, and employee questions around credits, deductions,
overtime, tips, and exempt status, payroll and tax professionals need to
understand how the 2026 Form W-4 affects day-to-day withholding decisions. Even
when the form itself is familiar, the way it is completed, applied, and
maintained can have a direct impact on withholding accuracy.
This
webinar will help payroll professionals work through the Form W-4 requirements
that matter for both new hires and existing employees. The session will address
key 2026 changes impacting withholding calculations, employer responsibilities
for electronic W-4 systems, exempt employee elections, and the difference
between standard and higher withholding calculation methods.
The
program will also include a detailed review of the 2026 Form W-4 so attendees
can better understand how employee entries, withholding adjustments, and
employer calculation methods connect to real payroll processing. For payroll
teams preparing for 2026 changes, this session offers a practical way to reduce
confusion, strengthen withholding practices, and respond more confidently to
common employee W-4 questions.

Why
Should You Attend?
Form
W-4 mistakes usually do not look dramatic at first. They show up as small
payroll questions: why an employee’s withholding changed, why a bonus was taxed
differently than expected, why an exempt election was not handled correctly, or
why a new hire’s form did not produce the result they assumed. In 2026, with
OBBBA-related changes and updated withholding considerations, those questions
may become more common for payroll teams.
This
webinar is designed to help payroll and tax professionals understand how the
2026 Form W-4 affects real payroll processing. The session will focus on
requirements for new and existing employees, electronic W-4 responsibilities,
exempt elections, and the calculation methods employers need to understand when
applying employee withholding choices.
Attendees
should leave with a clearer working understanding of the 2026 Form W-4 and how
to handle common withholding situations with more confidence. For payroll
teams, this is not just about filling out a form correctly. It is about
reducing avoidable confusion, improving withholding accuracy, and being better
prepared when employees, managers, or auditors ask questions.

webinar is designed for professionals responsible for payroll withholding,
